Entertainment Tonight is reporting that Ugly Betty will be back in May for its final four episodes.
Gomez is pleased to have our adorable feita back, even for a pitiful quickie, but we are not happy that ABC killed Betty and replaced her with two more shows about white women. It was bad enough that the network killed The George Lopez Show and replaced George with Cavemen. Now this?
Not that there's anything wrong with non-Latino white women, mind you. There's not. But there is something wrong with ABC and the other networks, which continue to act as though Latinos are a marginal group or, worse, that we're a significant group that only watches Sabado Gigante.
Not that there's anything wrong with Sabado Gigante...except for its homophobic, sexist, racist humor, banal sing-along ads, trumpet-playing gimp and...well, okay, everything. Honestly? We prefer the Cavemen.

Becki Newton is refuting rumors that “Ugly Betty” is about to get the boot.
“No, no — it’s not going off the air!” the fashionable star told us at Martini & Rossi’s bash at the W New York. “We don’t know what’s going to be happening with the time slot, but we’re well into season three, and we just got picked up for season four. There was panic for no reason.”
